Materializing the future: CSMB Opening Ceremony

The Center for the Science of Materials Berlin (CSMB) celebrated its opening with a diverse program. Following warm welcomes from HU-president Julia von Blumenthal, Bernd Rech (HZB), Jan Lüning (IGAFA) and our director Stefan Hecht, the guided tours through the research building were particularly in high demand. There, scientists showcased their current research and engaged in lively discussions with the guests. In addition to the scientific lecture by Seth Marder and presentations from the successful startups C1|Green Chemicals, OrelTech, xolo and Inuru, participants had plenty of time to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. The newspaper B.Z. (with a quarter-million readers) featured a noteworthy article on “Berlin’s new gem of research“.
